President Obama Shares PARENTING ADVICE He Gave Jay-Z, Says Beyonce & Michelle Are "Good Friends"
During an Ohio campaign stop, President Obama opened up about his budding friendship with music royalty Jay-Z and Beyonce and shared the fatherly advice he offered Hov. Find out what he said inside....
While stomping through the swing state of Ohio, President Obama stopped by Cleveland's hip hop station Z107.9 to maybe sway a few listeners his way.
During the interview, he talked about becoming friends with The Carters (who raised $4M for his campaign last month).
"I’ve gotten to know these guys over the first several years. They’re good people. Beyonce could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls. So they’re good friends. We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends."
And the Prez is also a fan of the couple's music. When asked about his fave Jay-Z song he said, “You know, I gotta say I go with some other stuff like ‘My 1st Song,’ which just kinda keeps me steady. It’s a great song. It reminds you that you always have to stay hungry.”
He also offered Jay-Z some advice about being father to Blue Ivy. "I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyonce out [with the baby], and not leaving it all with Beyonce and the mother-in-law."
And for voters who are still on the fence about who they'd like to run the country, President Obama drove home his accomplishments to the listeners,
"Think about all the things we've already gotten done. We saved an auto industry, saved a million jobs throughout Ohio and Michigan, we've gotten health care reform, we have made sure that we expanded student loan programs and Pell Grant programs; so a lot of stuff has gotten done, but we have a lot more to do. My hope is we have a decisive victory in this election, that Republicans, who spent a lot of time worry about trying to beat me, will start focusing on trying to improve the country."

Taylor Swift, Ryan Seacrest and other celebs tweet to celebrate U.S. gold medalists.

<P>Now that the Summer Olympics are in full swing, it seems as though the entire world has been caught up in watching their country's best athletes go for gold. We've definitely caught the Olympics fever here at MTV News and have been hard-pressed to pull our eyes away from all the action, and we're not alone. Thanks to a slew of enthusiastic tweets from our favorite celebrities, it's obvious the fever has spread to the likes of Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Pink, particularly after the U.S. gymnastics team won their gold medal Tuesday evening (July 31).</P><P>"Those girls are tearing the floor up for the USA! #Olympics," Lady Gaga <a href="https://twitter.com/ladygaga/status/230501177014493184" target="_blank">tweeted</a>. "Woohoo! Gold for the ladies! Just want to squeeze them! So much talent and beauty. Did u seem all holding hands? There's no 'I' in team."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Olympics 2012: What's On Team USA's Music Playlist?" id="vid:819232" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Gaga's support eventually made its way directly to 16-year-old team member <a href="https://twitter.com/McKaylaMaroney/status/230588951285600256" target="_blank">McKayla Maroney</a>, who thanked the Mother Monster for her kind words, which resulted in more excitement from Gaga herself.</P><P>"@mckaylamaroney tweeted at me!" Gaga responded. "Why didn't anybody tell me!!! DEAD. Swift <a href="https://twitter.com/taylorswift13/status/230747164144451584" target="_blank">tweeted</a>. "So blown away by @FranklinMissy! I was so happy to see you win, girl :)"</P><P>Finally, the up close and personal fever award goes to Ryan Seacrest, who has extra special access to the athletes thanks to his reporting gig with NBC. As she preps for the launch of her Woman to Woman disc, Keyshia Cole will also be launching a shoe collection with Steve Madden next month. She talked to Power 105.1 FM's The Breakfast Club about the shoes,
“I’ve been talking about this Steven Madden deal for about four years now. I wanted to do a deal with Steven Madden because, when I didn’t have any money and before I got my deal, I use to buy Steve Madden shoes. So I just want to make sure that I do really cute shoes that my demographic can afford. [The shoes will debut in] November. I’ve already made all three and they will be featured in my videos and in the album packaging.”
Keyshia wore a pair of multi-colored shoes with pink soles (from the collection) earlier this week on "106 & Park" and also tweeted a pair of red platforms with a heart. In addition to shoes, fans can find out more about Keyshia and her life on Tuesdays when BET airs “Keyshia & Daniel: Family First” at 10ET.
